Sustainability goals

Sustainability is one of the key words of our hotel. The tourism branch is expanding more and more and has its impact on nature. Expressed simply, sustainable tourism can be defined as: 'Tourism that takes full account of its current and future economic, social and environmental impacts, addressing the needs of visitors, the industry, the environment and host communities'. Corporate Social Responsibility

We will make the following investments to accomplish this:

Invest in solar panels:

Why?

- It's free: We can capture free sunlight and convert it into usable power;

- It's clean: We can heat and cool our hotel, with almost no impact on the global climate;

- It reduces costs: We use less electricity which will save money.

Waste separation, no use of plastic:

Why?

- Separating waste saves raw materials;

- Waste separation saves energy and benefits our climate;

- Separating saves money.

Green Power:

Why?

- Less co2 emissions and other harmful substances;

- Independent of fossil fuels and so indepent of oil and gasproduction countries;

- It won't run down.

By offering the following facilities, we will also contribute to sustainability:

- Charging points for electric cars;

- A timer for television, computers and lights;

- Towel service: guests can choose how often they want their towels to be washed;

- We use eco-friendly shampoo's and cleaning products;

- Newspapers, disposables, service items, phonebooks, operational supplies etc are recycled
